Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in this Holy Sacrament of the altar. I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come spiritually into my soul so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen

Sacrament of Reconciliation

A Perfect Act of Contrition – My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to
do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all
things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Saviour Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy. Amen

Parish Working Day

It was terrific! Fifteen parishioners  from St Mary’s Halifax turned up to work their way through the jobs identified on the clip boards. All the work was completed and even a few extra bits and pieces and we still got home early afternoon. It was a magnificent response, the atmosphere was really good and the Church, hall and grounds look great. Thank you so much to those who responded to the call. Well done everyone.

A big thank you to Cath and Keith for organising the day. They are marvellous.
